A Stockton Springs man who was staying at a home in Belfast was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 10, after one of his hosts reported his alleged sexual advances to police.
Steven A. Watson, 53, was arrested Wednesday on two counts of unlawful sexual touching, two counts of assault and violating conditions of release.
Detective Sgt. Bryan Cunningham said Watson was out on bail on an unrelated gross sexual assault charge at the time of his arrest.
Cunningham did not know how long Watson was a guest in the victim’s home, and stated that while Watson and the victim are not related, they are familiar with one another.
Cunningham said the female grew tired of Watson’s advances, which allegedly included Watson’s continuously touching the victim and at one point displaying his genitals to her.
Watson was transported to the Waldo County Jail flowing his arrest. He is scheduled to appear at Fifth District Court in Belfast Tuesday, Dec. 21.
