Police are investigating an attempted burglary that was reported at Jack’s Grocery Friday morning, Nov. 12.
Belfast Detective Sgt. Bryan Cunningham said the business owner, Kevin Barrett, contacted police to report that the rear window of the store had been broken out.
“No entry was gained,” said Cunningham, adding that the window, which leads to the kitchen area, was high off the ground and it would have been difficult for a person to climb through it. The jagged bits of glass that were left behind on the sill after the window was broken also made it difficult to gain entry, Cunningham said.
Anyone with any information about the attempted break-in is asked to contact police at 338-5255.
