Daniel Scott Dodge II, 21, died suddenly from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Barnstown Road Nov. 8, 2010.

More than anything, he was proud to be a fisherman, and for the past several years had lobstered with his father out of Rockport.

Dan was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Marjorie and Henry Dodge; his maternal grandfather, Linwood Grant; and two uncles, Christy Dodge and Donald Grant.

He is survived by his father, Daniel S. Dodge, and his stepmother, Mailyn, of Hope; his mother, Lynn M. Grant, and her companion, Wayne Hooper, of Owls Head; his maternal grandmother, Carolyn L. Fales, and her husband, James, of Cushing; a brother, William “Willie” Havener Jr. of Rockland; three sisters, Sarah Havener, Santa Havener and her companion, Brandon Raye, both of Cushing, and Renee Lawson of Owls Head; a stepsister, Christelle Madagmit of Hope, who referred to Dan as “Kuya,” meaning “big brother”; two aunts, Cathie Twadelle of Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., and Laurie Knauer of Vermont; an uncle, Mathew Grant, of Cushing; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
