Don L. Wilson, 66, died Nov. 11, 2010.

Don was born on Jan. 13, 1944, a son of Herbert and Katherine (Conant) Wilson.

He worked most of his life in retail management and, after retirement, as a volunteer driver, but many remember Don at The Drydock and Winterport Pizza.

He liked to travel, mingling with the locals wherever he went for music, sights, food and his many other interests.

He was not one to sit, and yet was able to sit with a cup of coffee, relaxed, silly and playing with the pets.

People gravitated to Don, everyone did, because he was funny, cool, manly, generous, honest and handsome.

He is survived by three children David, Denyse and her husband, Chris, and Desiree; five grandchildren Culley, Simon, Cecil, Francine and Brady; a daughter-in-law, Linda; his former wife, Dale-Jean; sand six iblings Lois, John, Pat, Connie, Gary and Mike.

Don will also be remembered by John and Leslie, loved and missed by all.

He was predeceased by three siblings, Pauline, Bill and Sandra; and by his sweetheart, Myrtle.

A memorial will be held Saturday Nov. 27, at 1 p.m. in the Roxbury Congregational Church, Roxbury, Vt.

Donations in Don’s name may be made to the church: Roxbury Road, Roxbury, VT 05669.
