Daniel Robbins, 48, died unexpectedly Nov. 13, 2010, at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport.

Born in Rockport Jan. 31, 1962, he was a son of Asa and Kathleen (Eaton) Robbins. Growing up in Rockland, he was educated in local schools.

For several years he worked at North Atlantic Seafood and Beaver Enterprises. He later worked at Fisher Engineering, all in Rockland.

Danny was long interested in antique automobiles, particularly Chevrolets. He enjoyed working on and tinkering with cars, and building models.

His sister Frances said of her brother, “Wherever he went, we all went!” — meaning Danny, Frances and their mother.

Danny loved his mother, with whom he resided and helped in her daily care.

Danny was predeceased by his father and a brother, Larry Robbins.

He is survived by his mother of Owls Head; three brothers, Asa W. Robbins of Belfast, Jimmy Robbins of Rockport and Augustus “Gussy” Robbins of Rockland; two sisters, Flora McClure and her husband, George “DD” of Rockland and Frances Robbins of Owls Head; as well as several nieces and nephews.

No service will be held at this time.

Arrangements are with the Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland.
