Mid-Coast Children’s Services’ 19th Annual Fabulous Food Fare and Silent Art Auction will be held 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 at the Samoset Resort.

The event, the agency’s largest annual fundraiser, has become a much-anticipated Valentine’s Day season tradition. It will feature an expanded inventory of fine art and fascinating art objects as well as amazing cuisine.

Food selections from some 25 of the area’s finest restaurants and as many as 65 artists help make the Food Fare a great fundraiser and a relaxing evening for many guests.

Guests can wander through both ballrooms at the Samoset, stopping at tables with a wide variety of dining selections to sample. As guests dine on everything from hors d’oeuvres to dessert, they can view the silent art auction items and make bids.

“We’ll have something of interest for everyone to take home, whether it be framed wall art, sculpture pieces, furniture, ceramics or even a lovely floral arrangement or piece of jewelry for your favorite Valentine,” said Marge Mitchell, event chairman.

Tickets are $40 per person and are available by contacting the Mid-Coast Children’s Services’ office at 594-8474. Camden National Bank is again sponsoring the evening.

MCCS is a private, nonprofit provider of preschool and social service programs for children (birth through age 7) with special needs and their families. Based in Rockland, the agency also welcomes and serves many typically developing children in its inclusive pre-school environment.
