It was a tough weekend for the Waldo County-based seventh-grade middle school hoop squads from Searsport District Middle School, as both boys and girls teams were dealt losses from Knox Country teams.

The Viking boys dropped two games in two days to both Medomak Middle School and Camden-Rockport Middle School, while the Viking girls fell Saturday to a determined Riverhawk team.

With Christmas on the horizon, many area schools are wrapping up league play in the coming days until after the new year.
