The Medomak Valley, Georges Valley and Islesboro boys basketball teams notched recent court victories, with the Panthers nipping Lincoln County rival Lincoln Academy of Newcastle, the Buccaneers rallying past Hall-Dale of Farmingdale and the Eagles outlasting host A.R. Gould of South Portland.

Both the Panthers and Eagles won road games, while Georges Valley secured a home victory, its first win of the campaign.

Medomak Valley 64, Lincoln Academy 62 … At Newcastle Thursday, the Panthers (2-3) trailed much of the game before rallying for the win. John Murray scored 10 of Medomak Valley 19 fourth-quarter points as the Panthers secured the victory. Murray finished with a game-high 25 points, 15 rebounds and eight blocked shots for the winners, while Alex Greenrose added 13 points; Isaac Greenrose, nine; Isaac Durkee and Deering Genthner, both four; Jonathan Hendrickson-Belloquet, three; and Kyle Durkee, Ryan Ripley and Shane Osier, all two.

Everett Martin paced Lincoln Academy (2-3) with 13 points, while Dylan Leavitt added 11; Brandon Reilly 10; Stephen Quinlan, nine; Riley Leavitt; wight; Jalen Lincoln, seven; and Nick Phinney and Kyle Scherer, both two.

Lincoln Academy led 16-15, 36-27 and 48-45 at the quarter breaks, but the Panthers surged to the two-point victory by outscoring the Eagles 19-14 over the final eight minutes. The Panthers were 10-of-17 (59 percent) from the foul line while the Eagles were 12-of-19 (63 percent).

Georges Valley 47, Hall-Dale 39 … At Thomaston Thursday in a makeup from Wednesday, the Buccaneers (1-4) secured their first win of the campaign. The Bucs trailed 10-9 after one quarter and 22-17 at halftime before the game was knotted 32-32 after three stanzas.

Pacing the Bucs were Ben Wallace (16 points, 7-of-8 free throws, 4 rebounds, 4 steals), Nick Judge (10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals), Dylan Maloney (7 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals), Alex Wallace (6 points), Drew Townsend (3 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals), Tyler Gilson (2 points) and Gordon Armstrong (2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals). Cy McGeady also grabbed four rebounds, dished out two assists and made two steals. Georges Valley netted 15-of-21 free throws (71 percent).

Islesboro 58, A.R. Gould 41 … At South Portland Wednesday, the visiting Eagles, who are 6-1 and fourth in the 15-team Maine Principals’ Association Western Class D region, grabbed the early momentum and never relinquished it against the Bears. Islesboro led 15-6, 23-18 and 40-29 at the quarter breaks.

Keying the islanders were D.J. Johnson (21 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists), Jason Hatch (20 points, 15 rebounds), Gerard Scherr (11 points, 5 rebounds), Max Mahan (5 points) and Ben Rollins (point).

For Gould, Mekonnen Nigussie tossed in 13 points and Geo Hopkins and Steve Lyons both 11.
