Michael Geary has been named acting lieutenant for the town Camden. Geary was promoted from sergeant, which had been his title for the past nine years, by Camden Police Chief Randy Gagne. His promotion to lieutenant will take place later in the year.
Geary has been a part of the Camden police force for 21 years, having started in 1989 as a patrolman.
The chain of command now has a vacant sergeant’s spot, which will be filled sometime in the year.
Geary lives in Lincolnville with his wife, Melissa, and their two children.
