Carolyn E. (LaPierre) Rokes, 81 of Belfast, passed away Jan. 8, 2011, in Bangor.
She was born Aug. 25, 1929, in Greenville, N.H., the daughter of William G. and Margaret (Wiggins) LaPierre.
She worked for The Republican Journal for many years and played the organ at First Baptist Church in Belfast. She enjoyed fishing and boating with her husband.
Carolyn is predeceased by her parents; her husband William Rokes; and an infant daughter.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Rokes of Maine, and David Rokes of New Hampshire; grandson John David; siblings Sylvia Huntington of New Mexico and Howard LaPierre and wife Dee of California.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
