Cecil E. Connors, 49, died unexpectedly Jan. 10, 2011, at his home.

Born June 17, 1961, in Bangor, he was the son of Thomas and Betty Davis Connors. Cecil attended Camden schools.

Following high school Cecil began commercial fishing. For most of his career he fished out of New Bedford, Mass. His family said he was happiest on the water.

Cecil loved to watch football, especially the Patriots. Spending time with his family and having cookouts were favorite pastimes.

He was predeceased by his father; two brothers, Darrell Small and Donald Small; and a nephew, David Small.

Cecil is survived by his mother Betty, of Owls Head; his son John Flaherty of Rockland; his brothers, David Connors and his wife, Linda, of Searsport and Thomas Connors Jr. of Portland; his sisters, Lola Chickering and her companion Paul Salo of Owls Head and Laura Billings and her husband Edward, of Washington; his companion Jackie Lovering of Mt. Vernon; and his nieces and nephews, Craig Brown, Christopher Brown, Stacy Brown, Laura Brown, Monica Billings, Erica Billings, Jake Connors, Clover Connors, Sean Connors, Joshua Drinkwater, Jessica Drinkwater and Daniel Salo.

No service will be held at this time.
