Average retail gasoline prices in Maine rose 2 cents per gallon last week, averaging $3.18 per gallon Sunday, Jan. 16.

This compared with the national average that increased 0.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.07 per gallon, according to gasoline price website MaineGasPrices.com.

Prices on Sunday in Maine were 36.5 cents per gallon higher than one year ago and 7.3 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

The national average increased 10.4 cents per gallon during the last month and was 33.8 cents per gallon higher than one year ago.
