Due to another winter storm — that may include snow, sleet and freezing rain — that has/will hit the Midcoast, Medomak Valley High School’s Tuesday boys and girls basketball games with Nokomis of Newport have been postponed.

The Panther boys were to host the Warriors, while the undefeated MVHS girls were set to travel to Nokomis to face the defending regional champions. The makeup games have been moved to Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m., same venues.

The only other Midcoast games on the docket for Tuesday, Jan. 18 were Forest Hills traveling to Islesboro for a varsity doubleheader. The times of those contests were moved up to 11 a.m. for the girls, with the boys games immediately following in an effort to get the Jackman-based squad on the ferry boat and back to the mainland before the impending storm.

In those games, the Islesboro boys won 62-40 and the Forest Hills girls prevailed 44-21.
