For young Waldo County girls more interested in sneakers and hoops than snow and slopes there will be basketball clinics offered on three upcoming Sundays.

The clinics will take place Jan. 30, Feb. 13 and Feb. 20 at Belfast Area High School. The clinics are open to Regional School Unit 20 youngsters in grades 3-8. Girls in grades 3-5 will participate noon to 2 p.m. and those in grades 6-8 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The clinics will be directed  by the BAHS coaching staff and current Lion players. Teaching will focus on skills and drills and culminate in a scrimmage the final day.

The cost of the clinic is $30 and will include participants receiving a reversible Belfast jersey.
