Sticker shock at the pump

I’m trying to find a civil way to say, “The Environmental Protection Agency is hurting America.” It sounds awful, I know, but the facts keep being facts. Here’s one you know. The price we pay for gas is $3.18/gallon and growing because oil is shipped to us from Middle Eastern countries who mostly don’t like us. Most people believe that we buy it from far away because we don’t have much here in the U.S.

Suppose I told you that we are believing a lie told to us by people we trust and admire. Nice green EPA folks — friends to trees, animals, fish and the champions of organic farmers — are hiding the biggest secret in our country.

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report on how much oil was hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains. It’s the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 trillion barrels and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil forever. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels might cost Americans just $16 per barrel.

How can we not be extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil. With friends like this, who needs enemies? Visit this site:
