Searsport builder Greg Parks is featured in the February edition of the magazine Log Home Living along with several subcontractors from based in Waldo County.

A nine-page article titled “Pre-Retirement Special” highlights the 3,000-square-foot Moose Pond vacation home of Peter and Diane Tilkemeier of Rhode Island, on which Parks served as general contractor.

For the design of their home, the Tilkemeiers added to a stock design from Kuhn Bros. of Milton, Pa., for whom Parks has been a representative in the Midcoast since 1991.

“It’s an honor to be chosen as a feature home builder in a magazine as so many photos are submitted each month for this opportunity to be selected,” Parks said.

Also mentioned in the article are Tom Roberts Construction of Knox, responsible for the finish work on the home, and Joe Cyr of Lcs Mechanical of Brooks who did the plumbing, heating and ventilation.
