While the high school basketball season officially came to an end over the weekend, a handful of student-athletes had the opportunity to don their varsity jerseys one final time Monday night in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B senior all-star games at Thomas College.

The girls game tipped off first Monday, with Coastal earning a 53-49 win over Inland. The game was knotted 24-24 at halftime. The boys game followed at 7 p.m., with Coastal picking up a 106-52 victory over Inland. Coastal led 52-22 at halftime.

Each game consisted of two 20-minute halves. No official book was kept for either contest.

Team members for all four squads were:

Boys Coastal Region: Camden Hills’ Joel Gabriele, Keegan Pieri, Nathan Catell and Tyler McFarland; Rockland’s Ryan Ecker; Belfast’s Brad Reed; Mount View’s Erick Nealley; and Lincoln Academy’s Everett Martin and Brandon Reilly. Rockland’s Matt Breen and Medomak Valley’s Nick DePatsy were the coaches.

Boys Inland Region: Waterville’s Matt Lynch; Gardiner’s Kaleb Smith and Mike Trahan; Leavitt’s Lucas Witham and Tyler Allen; Oak Hill’s Cam Morin; Maranacook’s Harry Lanphear; Maine Central Institute’s Tyler Maloon and Craig Reazor; and Winslow’s Mike McCann. Waterville’s Jason Briggs and Gardiner’s Jason Cassidy were the coaches.

Girls Coastal Region: Rockland’s Danica Hooper; Lincoln Academy’s Katherine Bolster, Anna Budrow (injured) and Laura Soohey; Mount View’s Hayleigh Kein and Chrissy Larrabee; Leavitt’s Abbey Randall and Courtney Anderson; Belfast’s Liz Rauch; Camden Hills’ Maci Heal; and Medomak Valley’s Lindsay Ranquist and Ericka Christensen. The team was coached by Camden Hills’ Marty Messer.

Girls Inland Region: Waterville’s Kylee Gardiner and Emily Karter; Maranacook’s Katie Dore; Oak Hill’s Abby Goulet and Maggie Sabine; Winslow’s Lynsey Vigue and Kelsea Bouchard; Maine Central Institute’s Meghan Hughes; Nokomis’ Julie Smith and Danielle Watson; and Gardiner’s Carly Pelletier. Gardiner’s Mike Gray and Winslow’s Tom Nadeau were the coaches.
