The Magnificent Liars production features Lou Esposito, Michael Moody and Brian Schuth as three childhood friends, together for their annual hunting trip deep in the woods of Illinois. Now middle-aged, divided by their changing political attitudes and facing mortality in a number of guises, they find that the common fabric of friendship has been shredded by time.

“Lady” was performed in 2008 by Rattlestick Playwrights’ Theatre in New York City and was described by the New York Times as tremendously moving. Playwright Wright was the recipient of the 2009 Horton Foote Excellence in Playwriting Award. In addition to numerous plays, Wright has written for TV including for the HBO series “Six Feet Under”; “Twilight,” for which he was nominated for an Emmy; and ABC’s “Lost,” for which he and his staff won the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Dramatic Series.

The Magnificent Liars have developed a reputation for quality, innovation and originality. Founded in 2001 in Pembroke, the Liars have been described as a rogue operation and a maverick band of theater veterans. Their objectives are to illuminate the text and to grow as theater artists by choosing important, sometimes unconventional, material and producing theater that is an adventure for themselves and their audiences.
