Country tunes, southern rock and a few other things guaranteed to keep dancers on the floor will be on tap Saturday, March 26 at the Wedding & Event Center at Echo Hill, Route 131.

The 8 p.m. to midnight dance will feature music by local band Steel Rail Express, a Waldo County group of rock veterans who play a mix of county, southern rock, beach and funk. There will be line dancing and every other kind of dancing, as well.

The band is led by Michael Ponder with Paul Vachon, Tim Woitowitz, Joel Watson and Jennifer Nittolo. Last March, Steel Rail Express was recognized by the Maine Legislature and played the National Anthem for the opening of both chambers.

Admission is by advance–sale tickets only, $8 or $15 per couple. Tickets are on sale at WaterWorks Restaurant & Pub, Rockland; online at eventsatechohill.com; and between 7:45 and 8 p.m. at door, if available.

There will be a cash bar and appetizers during the 21-and-older event.
