The Belfast Maskers will hold two sets of auditions Sunday, March 27 at the Maskers Waterfront Theater, 43 Front St.

Auditions for “Dancing at Lughnasa” will be held at 10 a.m. and will be videotaped for director Matt Ames. Brian Friel’s touching play about a momentous summer in Ireland will be the first production to open under the stars of Steamboat Landing Park on June 30.

Auditions for “Pirates of Penzance” will run from 1 to 3 p.m. and will consist of vocals and reading from the script. Teens and older men are invited to auditions for a large cast of singing, dancing swashbucklers, townspeople and police officer roles; there will be one further audition for chorus parts in June. The Gilbert and Sullivan operetta will open July 28 in Steamboat Landing Park.
