Average retail gasoline prices in Maine fell 1.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.56 per gallon Sunday, March 20.

The national average fell 0.3 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.53 per gallon, according to gasoline price website MaineGasPrices.com.

Prices on Sunday were 74.9 cents per gallon higher than one year ago and 34 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

The national average increased 35.7 cents per gallon during the last month and stood 71.4 cents per gallon higher than one year ago.
