A show titled “LocalrootZ” will be on view in the Belfast Co-op Café during the month of April. The Belfast Co-op is located downtown at 123 High St.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Luke Fuller, better known as Lukaduke among family and friends, moved to Portland to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Maine College of Art in 2001. In Maine, he has enjoyed a positive and fertile atmosphere in which to create his art.

Lukaduke’s paintings are tied to the land in which he lives; from the garden to the kitchen to the studio, there is a connection with the natural world. This connection provides a conversation within his work that changes with the seasons. For more information about the artist’s work, visit lukaduke.com and his local eating blog lukaduke.blogspot.com.
