The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association will host an Earth Day volunteer work party at MOFGA’s Common Ground Education Center in Unity on Saturday, April 16. Activities will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Volunteers are needed for the following projects on April 16:

* Spring garden clean-up

* Raking and mulching

* Orchard weeding

* Light carpentry projects

The workday will take place rain or shine, so participants are asked to dress appropriately. Volunteers should bring work gloves and favorite garden tools. MOFGA will provide a hearty, organic lunch and volunteer T-shirt for each participant.
