Sen. Roger J. Katz and Reps. Jon Hinck and Lance Harvell are slated to introduce bipartisan presentation at noon Monday, April 25, on three bills intended to downsize the Legislature.

According to a press release from Mark Ellis, technology and communications director for Maine Senate Republicans, the three pieces of legislation include: LD 153, a “Resolution Proposing an Amendment to the Constitution of Maine To Provide for the Reduction of the Size of the Legislature,” as well as LD 669, a “Resolution Proposing an Amendment to the Constitution of Maine To Change the Number of Members of the Legislature, the Length of Legislative Sessions and the Requirements for Introduction of Bills in a Second Regular Session,” and LD 40, a “Resolution, Proposing an Amendment to the Constitution of Maine To Reduce the Size of the House of Representatives.”
