An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity April 17-24:

April 24

Clayton Ames, 32, of Stockton Springs, was cited for operating after suspension.

April 22

Brandon M. Handlen, 26, of Bangor, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a usable amount of marijuana.

Mark Pattershall, 30, of Stockton Springs, was arrested and charged with refusing to submit to arrest or detention.

Howard J. Alley, 36, of Carmel, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence.

April 21

Jeff Dennis, no age listed, of Montville was charged with violating condition of release.

William Mattingly, 29, was arrested on an active warrant in Troy.

Emily Desjardins, 20, of Swanville, was arrested on a warrant in Prospect for possession of scheduled drugs.

April 20

Nelson C. Gray, 54, of Orange County, Fla., was arrested in Winterport on a governor’s warrant for sexual battery.

April 19

Jeffrey Fries, 23, was cited for speeding 68 mph in a 45-mph zone.

Carolyn Perez, 44, of Brooks, was cited for an inspection sticker violation.

Dylan Cook, 30, of Searsmont, was cited for speeding 64 mph in a 45-mph zone and for no proof of insurance.

April 17

Jeremy Hanson, 18, of Clinton, was cited for not having an inspection sticker.

Jane Irving, 59, of Castine, was cited for an inspection violation in Frankfort.

Deborah G. Eaton, 50, of Sedgwick, was cited for speeding 61 mph in a 35-mph zone in Searsport.

Adam Damon, 21, of Stockton Springs, was cited for a seatbelt violation.
