A Child Identification Program, or CHIP, will be held Saturday, May 7, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Walker School, at 33 West Main St.

The Maine Freemasons sponsor this free program to Maine families who wish to participate; children age birth to 18 are eligible.

This program is a comprehensive child identification and protection tool designed to give families a measure of protection if a child goes missing.

To date in Maine, 1,114 CHIP events have been held and 43,996 children have been provided with identification packets. Information provided through this program will be helpful to law enforcement agencies in the recovery of missing children.
