An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following activity:

April 26

Daryn M. Stokes, 41, of Belfast, was arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of hydrocodone.

Michael J. Holman, 23, of Belfast, was arrested on a charge of violating conditions of release.

April 27

Devin B. Richards, 19, of Searsmont, was summoned for alteration after inspection.

James H. Walsh, 40, of Turner, was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

Diane-Marie S. Colby, 48, of Searsport, was stopped at a stop sign on Starrett Drive in her 2002 Lexus when a 2002 Chrysler operated by Michael W. Austin, 29, of Warren, reportedly struck her from behind. Austin and his 17-year-old passenger were not injured; Colby complained of back pain. Personnel with Belfast Ambulance and Rescue treated Colby at the scene. Damage to the Lexus was estimated at $750; the Chrysler had an estimated $100 worth of damage.

April 28

Elijah C. Crosby, 20, of Belfast, was summoned for speeding 44 mph in a 25-mph zone.

Dustin W. Smith, 20, of Stockton Springs, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence, operating without a license and possession of a usable amount of marijuana.

Alanna B. Brown, 57, of Hope, was stopped at the intersection of routes 1 and 52 in a 1999 Oldsmobile and Irene Cossman, 88, of Lincolnville was stopped behind Brown. Cossman told police the traffic light turned green and she thought Brown had started forward. Cossman hit the gas and reportedly bumped the rear of Brown’s vehicle. Brown reported experiencing neck pain; the accident report did not indicate that an ambulance was dispatched. Cossman was not hurt. Neither vehicle reportedly sustained damage.

Kimberly A. O’Brien, 45, of Waldo, was driving east on Field Street in a 2006 Chevrolet SUV and Debbie A. Warren, 43, of Morrill was traveling in the same direction in her 2003 Saturn SUV. According to the police report, Warren improperly changed lanes when attempting to enter a driveway off Field Street. Warren struck O’Brien’s vehicle on the passenger side. No one was injured. Damage to the Chevy was estimated at $2,500; the Saturn sustained about $1,000 worth of damage.

April 29

Suzzi L. Nelsen, 41, of Orland, was summoned for an inspection sticker violation and for having a registration expired for 30-150 days.

Lacy D. Shute, 26, of Belfast, was backing out of a driveway onto Waldo Avenue in a 2003 Datsun/Nissan and reportedly backed into the driver’s side of a 2004 Honda van registered to Tara K. Demere, 41, of Belfast. Demere’s van was parked and unattended on the opposite side of the street. Shute was not hurt. Damage to the Datsun/Nissan was estimated at $1,500; the van sustained an estimated $2,000 worth of damage.

April 30

Alison Belyea, 22, of Rockland, was summoned for speeding 39 mph in a 25-mph zone.

Sherry R. Runci, 30, of Belfast, was summoned for speeding 40 mph in a 25-mph zone.

Susann H. Dakin, 51, of Searsport was summoned for speeding 39 mph in a 25-mph zone.

Michael A. Greenleaf, 20, of Searsport, was summoned for speeding 39 mph in a 25-mph zone.

Timothy F. Stearns, 44, of Bellingham, Mass. was summoned for speeding 39 mph in a 25-mph zone.

Michael Wilson, 50, of Belfast, was arrested on a charge of OUI.

Jeremy A. Arpan, 32, of Belfast, was arrested on charges of OUI, operating after suspension (two priors) and violating conditions of release.

Cassandra G. Lucas, 19, of Searsport, was summoned for possession of liquor by a minor (consumption).

May 1

Robert Cirillo, 32, of Bucksport, was summoned for OAS.
