Waldo County’s OdLaW will bring its distinctive mix of danceable grooves to Bowen’s Tavern Saturday, May 21 beginning at 9 p.m. Bowen’s has a new location, 181 Waterville Road, near the intersection of routes 7 and 137.

Since the recent release of the trio’s debut CD, “OdLaW 1,” available at Bull Moose, the Belfast Co-op and odlaw.org, the band has garnered critical acclaim for its original songs. The CD has gotten radio airplay throughout the state, including being featured artist of the week on WERU, and the band has performed at the Bull Moose Record Store Days event.

Drawing on decades of material and experience, musicians Gary Grant, percussion; Sam Ladd, guitar and vocals; and Jerry Weaver, bass and vocals, deliver an eclectic blend of Americana rock ‘n’ soul from Johnny Cash to The Cure, sure to entertain. The band has released a music video, “Wilted Flowers,” available for viewing on YouTube and on the website odlaw.org.

Cover charge at Bowen’s will be $3, $5 per couple.
