Julia Clukey of Augusta, a 2010 United States Olympian, will provide a presentation to Mount View High School students on Friday, May 13 from 9 to 10 a.m.

Clukey competed in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada, finishing 17th in luge, and has announced she plans to participate in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Friday’s hour-long event will include a short video highlighting Clukey’s career, her experiences of growing up and the challenges she has overcome. During the presentation she will discuss the importance of good decision making and spread her message of responsibility to the high school students

Throughout her presentation, Clukey will speak about the responsibilities associated with being a student and the various pressures from friends and family.
