The Camden Shakespeare Company will hold more auditions for its summer production of “The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged),” written by Adam Long, Reed Martin, and Austin Tichenor with additional material by Matthew Croke. Auditions in early May, scheduled for outdoors, were met with inclement weather.

Auditions will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, May 31 and June 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of Camden-Rockport Middle School, Knowlton Street.

The CSC is looking to fill three roles with high energy, comedic actors who will appear as a multitude of biblical characters in this satirical, fast-paced jaunt through the Holy Book. The three performers are on stage for, virtually, the whole duration of the show, and they each must deliver energetic and extremely physical performances.

Performances will take place in the Camden Library’s Amphitheater throughout the summer, so those chosen should be ready to commit to a schedule that runs July through August.

“This is an extremely good opportunity for someone to hone their ad lib skills in multiple roles,” said CSC artistic director Chris Wolf. “The characters lend themselves well to young and older performers and any mix thereof.”
