The members of the Mid-Coast Art Guild will host a show of their work Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the VFW Hall on Route 1.

Watercolors of various subjects including portals, people, textures and flowers will be featured. Prints, cards, and smaller items such as bookmarks also will be available. Artists will be doing demonstrations during the course of the show and will be on hand to discuss their techniques and ideas. Pastries and beverages will be available.

Founded in 2002, the Mid-Coast Art Guild is a group of local watercolorists dedicated to expanding their skills in a supportive atmosphere. The group meets weekly, guiding their work with videos, books, workshops and shared ideas. It includes well known local artists as well as developing artists; members include Nancy Blatz, Norma Cowan, Karen Cousins, Susan Gilbey, Donna Hannish, Betty Harriman, Linda Jewell, Carol Magner, Jean Nolan, Alise Parsloe, Jean Rich, Judy Simpson, Gail Smith and Sharon Smith.

The Northport VFW is located about seven miles south of Belfast and 11 miles north of Camden, on the bay side of the highway.
