Camden National Bank will celebrate its history as an independent, Maine-based community bank on Friday, June 3, in its Midcoast region branches. Customers are invited to join the community banking day celebration and enjoy refreshments and festivities.

The branches participating in the event will include Belfast, Belfast Plaza, Camden Main Office, Camden Square, Damariscotta, Rockland, Thomaston, Union, Vinalhaven and Waldoboro.

As a community bank, Camden National is headquartered and operated by people within the areas it serves. With a long-standing commitment to enriching the lives of Maine people, helping businesses succeed, and vitalizing local communities, Camden National’s Independence Day celebration is focused on recognizing and thanking the customers and communities whose continued support makes the bank’s independence possible, according to a press release from the company.

Customers are invited to visit any of the Midcoast branches during regular branch hours. To honor local businesses and thank loyal customers, each branch will hold a raffle for a $100 gift card to a Maine-based business of each winner’s choosing. In addition, Camden National Bank will make a matching donation to a local charity.

“We look forward to this annual tradition as a special way to celebrate Camden National’s history and sustainability in the Maine banking community,” said Gregory A. Dufour, president and chief executive officer of Camden National Bank, in the press release. “Community banks, like ours, work for the long-term interests of our towns, businesses, and people.”
