The summer Emerging Artists concert series will begin with 17-year-old Clayton Clemetson of Belfast Friday, June 10 at 7 p.m. at the historic Hammond Hall, 427 Main St. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Clemetson, who will perform original piano compositions, has been improvising and composing on the piano for more than eight years. Since age 9, he has studied piano from a classical perspective and, in his older youth, with a focus on improvisation and composition.   His dream is to become a film composer.

Clemetson has performed for various events and openings including Belfast’s annual New Year’s by the Bay celebration. He currently is raising funds for a semester in Ecuador, with an organization called Kroka), through his piano performance; for more information, visit his blog at claytonecuadortrip.blogspot.com.
