An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following recent activity:

 

May 25

Michael W. Morin, 18, of Bangor was summoned for illegal possession of liquor by a juvenile/minor on Marsh Road.

Jetton R. Whiting, 18, of Northport was summoned for illegal possession of liquor by a juvenile/minor on Marsh Road.

Mark E. Smith, 21, of Orono was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear for arraignment on an earlier charge of operating while his license was suspended or revoked.

 

May 26

Shawn Gerry, 42, of Northport was summoned for theft of services from Circle K on May 19.

Tamara K. Lawrence, 44, of Biddeford was summoned for negotiating a worthless instrument on High Street in Belfast on April 17. The summons was served by the Biddeford Police Department.

 

May 27

Jay M. Baker, 62, of Belfast was summoned for speeding (45 mph in a 25 mph zone) on Robbins Road.

Rodney J. Randall, 35, of Dixmont was summoned for speeding (52 mph in a 35 mph zone) and for not having an inspection sticker, both on Route 7.

Carrie L. Plentus, 34, of Brooks was summoned for speeding (54 mph in a 35 mph zone) on Route 7.

Joshua Mace, 23, of Searsmont was arrested on a warrant charging him with unpaid fines/fees on a previous charge of unlawful possession of oxycodone. According to the warrant, the entire $505 fine remained unpaid.

 

May 28

Kevin D. Hooper, 44, of Belfast was arrested on a warrant charging him with negotiating a worthless instrument on April 29 in Belfast.

Svetana Bar-Tal, 50, of Newton, Mass. was summoned for failure to yield at a stop sign at the intersection of routes 1 and 3.

 

May 29

Matteo S. Adragna, 52, was arrested for domestic assault on Main Street (assault reportedly occurred late on the night of May 28).

Ruth A. Warburton Johnson, 50, of Portsmouth, R.I. was summoned for criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (Z), both on Front Street.

 

May 30

Courtney Nicole Burns, 24, of Belfast was summoned for OUI on Lincolnville Avenue.
