Three Cub Scouts from Pack 39 in Liberty and Montville crossed over from Webelos II’s to Boy Scouts earlier this spring.

Zachary Barboza, Zachary Florin and Toby Pontillo completed all requirements and many optional achievements, and were recognized for their accomplishments in a ceremony Thursday, April 14.

The two Zachary’s earned the Arrow of Light, which is the final rank of Cub Scouting. The seven rays of the Arrow of light represent wisdom, courage, self-control, justice, faith, hope and love. The Arrow of Light is the only Cub Scout badge that can be worn on the Boy Scout uniform.

Toby joined Pack 39 in the fall of 2009 and worked diligently in the last two years toward crossing over.

Additionally, Zachary Barboza was presented with a unique Considerate Scout award for selflessly offering his Pinewood Derby trophy to a disappointed scout.

There were more than 40 friends and family members in attendance. It was an emotional crossover, and the Pack is very proud of them for their hard work and accomplishments.
