An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

May 25

Trooper Jonah O’Roak investigated a burglary complaint on Dow Cole Road in Liberty. The investigation is ongoing.


May 26

Trooper Bethany Couturier responded to Lucas Lane in Montville in reference to a domestic dispute. The case is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s office in Belfast for review.

Trooper Luke Cunningham investigated a motorcycle crash on Woodmans Mill Road in Searsmont. The driver of the motorcycle sustained a broken leg in the crash and was taken to Waldo County General Hospital by Searsmont Rescue.


May 27

Trooper Couturier responded to Youngstown Road in Lincolnville for a reported theft. The investigation is ongoing.

Trooper Couturier stopped Tyson Marr, 19, of Belfast on Route 3 in Montville. It was determined Marr did not have a driver’s license. He was summoned for the offense and released.

Trooper Elisha Fowlie stopped a car on Route 3 in Liberty for speeding. Upon stopping the vehicle, Trooper Fowlie reportedly observed the driver and passenger running around the vehicle attempting to switch seats. Trooper Fowlie learned that the operator Danny Leigh, 33, had a suspended license. Leigh was summoned for the offense, along with another summons for speeding.


May 28

Trooper Cunningham investigated a burglary on Route 3 in Liberty. The investigation is ongoing.
