An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

AUGUSTA — Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following recent incidents in Waldo County. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 1-800-452-4664.

May 31

Trooper Jonah O’Roak located Joshua Whitney, 31, on Meadow Road in Winterport and summoned him for Class B burglary and Class C theft for a residential burglary that reportedly occurred in November of 2010.

Trooper Jonathan Russell stopped a vehicle for a loud exhaust on Curtis Road in Swanville. After making contact with the operator, 28-year-old Bruce Blakesley Jr., Trooper Russell learned Blakesley’s driver’s license was suspended. Blakesley was also allegedly found to be in possession of a usable amount of marijuana. He was summoned for the alleged offenses.

June 2

Trooper Shawn Porter was informed of an active warrant for Shawn Gerry, 42, and was told that Gerry was at Rite Aid in Belfast. Trooper Porter arrested Gerry on the warrant and took him to Waldo County Corrections, where he posted his own bail.

Trooper Porter responded to Rancourt Road in Winterport for a theft complaint. Thorin Walton, 37, was summoned for theft, criminal mischief and terrorizing, and was released.

June 4

Trooper Russell assisted the Belfast Police Department with a domestic assault that occurred on Cedar Street in Belfast. The male allegedly involved in the incident was Hector Bohan, 21, who had reportedly fled the residence on foot prior to responding units’ arrival. Trooper Russell was familiar with Bohan and knew he had family ties in Swanville. Trooper Russell located Bohan at his mother’s residence on Upper Oak Hill Road in Swanville and arrested him for domestic violence assault. Bohan was taken to Waldo County Corrections and turned over to Officer Eric Kelley of the Belfast Police Department.

Trooper Ryan Brockway stopped a vehicle on Route 7 in Brooks for a brake-light out. The driver, 22-year-old Jeremy Bennett, was summoned for operating after suspension.

June 5

Trooper Brockway summoned Lori Barker, 42, for fraud and acquiring drugs by deception after a three-month investigation involving a pharmacy in Pittsfield and a pharmacy in Unity.
