Henry J. Ginsberg, of Belfast, was among the 548 students awarded a degree at St. Lawrence University’s Commencement ceremony, held Sunday, May 22 on campus in Canton, N.Y.

Ginsberg, a graduate of Belfast Area High School, received a degree in Fine Arts.

The Commencement speaker was NBC journalist and author Tom Brokaw, who was awarded an honorary degree at the ceremony. Three retired members of the University’s Board of Trustees were also awarded honorary degrees, and the North Country Citation was awarded to Philip Harnden, founder and executive director of GardenShare, a community organization.
