“Studio Connections: Artists Supporting MPBN,” the 10th annual juried art exhibit, is open at Maine Public Broadcasting Network, 1450 Lisbon St. The art may be viewed weekdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and other times by appointment. It will be auctioned live and televised Saturday, June 18 from 5 to 9 p.m.

A jury of arts professionals selected 130 pieces of art and fine crafts generously donated by artists, galleries and private collectors to benefit the radio and television stations of MPBN. Available for bid are oils, watercolors, encaustics, acrylics, mixed media, photographs, fabric art, pottery, wood, jewelry, sculpture and glass. The art also may be viewed and bid upon at auction.mpbn.net.

Among those whose work was juried in this year are Midcoast artists Anne Kilham and Michael Good Designs of Rockport; John Bisignano, Owls Head; Jo Ellen Designs, Stell Shevis and Peter Jones/Mountain Street Pottery, Camden; Jean Kigel, Waldoboro; A.C. Kulik, Belfast; Petrea Noyes and Christopher Noyes, Brooks; van der Van Studios, H Swanson Gallery & Studio and Gina Knight, Lincolnville; merewhimsey, Morrill; Jeweled Horizons, Northport; Sandy Dolan Photography, Searsport and Susan Balch, Swanville.

Saturday auction-goers may view the art and tour MPBN from 5 to 6 p.m., after which the auction will begin led by Fred Olsen of James D. Julia, Auctioneers of Fairfield.
