At the 59th annual Maine Education Association — Retired convention in Augusta, Linda Brier Hall, a former teacher at the Governor Anderson School in Belfast, was the recipient of a leadership award given in recognition of the many ways in which she has demonstrated her leadership skills.

As was stated by those recommending her: “Whether serving in a leadership position in the primary classroom, as a head teacher of a building, an officer in a local professional organization or a chairman of a professional committee, Linda has ample proof of a willingness and ability to step up and serve her community. She has always chosen to lead activities that benefit children or retired teachers.”
