Paula B. Cannon of Paula’s Impressions has taken her photography a step further by using Kaleidoscope Kreator to create stunning one-of-a-kind kaleidoscope designs. Cannon began the kaleidoscope series in May, using her floral pieces. Customers of Camden National Bank, where her photography has been on exhibit, have been intrigued by these designs.

Cannon’s current show includes an original  scene of Rockport harbor and three of the kaleidoscope designs created from the photograph. The exhibit also includes a scene of fall grasses which, when using the kaleidoscope application, has created photos reminiscent of Southwestern art.

Cannon, a retired Massachusetts educator, has been exhibiting her photography for the past 11 years in Massachusetts and Maine. Her photos are regularly on exhibit at the Belfast Soup Kitchen and the Camden National Bank on Main Street. Her kaleidoscope series will continue at the bank through July.

A collection of her cards and matted prints are available at The Lupine Cottage arts cooperative on Route 1 in East Belfast, and Cannon’s notecards are available at Northport Gallery on Route 1 in Northport  She may be reached at 338-3608 and
