An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following recent activity:

June 2

Carolyn A. Boyle, 36, of Searsport was summoned for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Adam L. Skinner, 22, of Belfast was summoned for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

June 6

Matthew Wilson, 36, was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

June 7

Agnes R. Sharpe, 65, of Chelsea was summoned for speeding (49 mph in a 35 mph zone).

Douglas E. Doucette, 51, of Stockton Springs was traveling west on Route 3 at around 4:30 a.m. when a deer ran out of the woods and struck his 2005 Chevrolet on the front passenger side. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,500. Doucette was not injured.

June 8

Alison D. Walsh, 30, of Belfast was summoned for failure to register a motor vehicle for 30-150 days.

Teresa K. Piper, 54, of Searsport was summoned for speeding (54 mph in a 40 mph zone).

June 10

William F. Wilkie, 53, of Belfast was charged with theft of mislaid property, forgery and violating conditions of release.

June 11

Nickalee Caron, 21, of Brooks was summoned for failure to obey a flashing red light.
