An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following recent activity:

June 13

Shawn N. Gerry, 42, of Swanville was summoned on two charges of negotiating a worthless instrument.

Paul Jameson, 49, of Belfast was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault, domestic violence terrorizing and kidnapping.

Dennis M. Craig, 24, of Belfast was summoned for criminal trespass and was arrested on warrants for failure to pay fines.

June 14

George Bowen, 53, of Buckfield was summoned for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Christopher F. Beeton, 23, of Belfast was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

June 15

Steven B. Lurie, 55, of Brooks was summoned for speeding (29 mph in a 15 mph zone).

June 16

Adam J.H. Jerome, 34, of Belfast was summoned for theft by deception.

June 19

Constance M. Ethier, 43, of Belfast was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault and violating conditions of release.

Cindy Danchak, 45, of Thorndike was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence.
