On Friday, July 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Belfast Farmers’ Market will host its Main Street Festival on upper Main Street between Church and High streets. Local fiddler Hila Shooter, who has been playing since she was eight years old, will perform from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Shooter’s performance will help her fundraise for a four-month study trip to Ecuador, organized by Kroka, which is taking teens to South America to gain cultural experience through community service. They also will explore the region, adventuring into the rainforest, cata-rafting on the Amazon River and climbing one of the tallest active volcanoes in the world. The market’s Main Street Festivals take place on the first Friday of each month, May through October. Beginning Friday, July 8, Belfast Farmers’ Market will relocate to Waterfall Arts, 256 High St. For more information, visit belfastfarmersmarket.org.
