Point Lookout, Route 1, will presents Jazz Night at the Summit, an evening of sumptuous cuisine and high-energy jazz, Saturday, July 9. The event is formatted to duplicate the experience of being at one of New York City’s jazz clubs.

The music will be provided by Luna Madidus, a Midcoast jazz quintet. The band features veterans Mike Whitehead on trumpet and Bruce Boege on saxophones, two of the area’s most skilled jazz musicians. Luna Madidus will be performing the original compositions of the group’s pianist and founder, Tom Luther. The band is rounded out by Ezra Rugg on bass and drumming phenom Jacob Forbes.

Point Lookout’s Executive Chef Shawn Wilcox will have a special four-course menu for the evening. Seating will begin at 5 p.m. with a fruit and cheese appetizer dinner is expected to be served starting at 5:30 p.m. Luna Madidus will begin playing during the dessert course.

Seating is limited, and reservations are required; cost for the dinner and music is $42, which includes tax and gratuity but not alcohol. For reservations and more information, call Point Lookout at 789-2000.
