Local potter Mary Trotochaud will open her Everyday Pottery studio doors at 103 Northport Road Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 8 through 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Trotochaud has worked as a craftsman in clay since 1977. Her handcrafted wheel-thrown pieces unite form and function in a broad palette that combines earth, trees and sky. During the open studio, she will demonstrate the techniques of wheel-thrown pottery.

“The joy of creating a piece of pottery is only matched by the pleasure of using pieces everyday,” she said of her work.

Trotochaud’s Northport Road studio is just outside of Belfast, off Route 52 via Ryan Road. It is open daily by chance or by appointment; for more information, call 342-2251.
