Galerie Dufour, 94 Main St., will open “Clothed Nudes,” a photography exhibition of fine art natural nudes, with a 5:30 to 8 p.m. reception with refreshments Friday, July 15. The show will run through Aug. 11.

In most figurative artwork, the nude is the focus of the composition. In “Clothed Nudes,” however, photographic artist Charles Laurier Dufour has twisted the observer’s expectations as articles of clothing in the foreground are in sharp focus while, in the background, the figure is blurred to an impressionistic level of distortion, he explained. The forest, the seacoast, the city and some indoor scenes complete these 14 recent color and monochromatic works.
