An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Searsport Police Department reported the following recent activity:

June 30

Zachary Parker, 18, of Winterport was summoned for speeding (64 mph in a 45 mph zone).

July 2

John Morton, 52, of Union was arrested on a charge of violating his probation.

July 7

Ralph F. Field, 58, of Rockland was summoned for speeding (47 mph in a 25 mph zone).

July 8

Christy Calloway, 52, of Searsport was arrested on charges of operating under the influence, operating after suspension and violating conditions of release.

July 10

Matthew Romanishan, 29, of Winterport was summoned for failure to provide proof of insurance.

July 11

Officer Eric Bonney is investigating the circumstances of a disturbance that was reported at a residence on Brock Road. Searsport Police Chief Dick LaHaye said no one was hurt in the incident, and that as of Tuesday, July 12, no one has been charged in connection with the disturbance.
