The documentary “Carbon Nation” will be screened Thursday, July 21 at 8 p.m., right after the Belfast Summer Nights concert concludes, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Belfast, 37 Miller St.

“Carbon Nation” is a solutions-based, non-preachy, non-partisan, big-tent film that shows tackling climate change boosts the economy; increases national and energy security; and promotes health & a clean environment. The 2010 film’s optimism and pragmatism are appealing across the political spectrum. While other good films have been about problems, blame and guilt, “Carbon Nation” is a film that celebrates solutions, inspiration and action.

There will be a discussion afterwards for all who can stay. Admission is free.
