Howard D. Lewis 43 of Winslow, passed away July 18, 2011 at Good Rose Retirement Inn in Winslow. He was born in Camden on March 5, 1968 to Wayne P. Lewis and Louise L. (Johnson) Gould.

He attended Mount View High School and then served in the U.S. Army for eight years. He was named after both his paternal and maternal grandfathers. Howard loved to hunt and fish.

He was predeceased by his mother, Louise; grandfather, Drexel Lewis; his grandmother, Bertha Johnson; grandfather, Howard Johnson; aunts, Louise Hills, Patricia Bailey and Lillian French; and an uncle, Charles Lewis Jr.

Howard is survived by his father, Wayne P. Lewis of Northport; grandmother, Annie (Curtis) Lewis; his aunt, Roberta Ghent of Searsport; his uncle, Ronnie French of Waldo; and several cousins.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 30 at 10 a.m. at Smart Cemetery in Swanville. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
